Many of us in Southern Delaware have been busy keeping tourists happy and running our businesses, it’s been hard to put together an event. Now that the summer season is drawing to a close, we hope to have more #DeHappyHour events in Southern Delaware.
So we’ve put together our NEXT #DeHappyHour for Southern Delaware to help usher in the FALL season and start having some fun. This is an opportunity for locals, businesses and individuals from anywhere in Delaware who are into social media, like Twitter and Facebook, to get out and get Social.
I would like to invite you to attend our FALL kickoff #DeHappyHour for Southern Delaware. Wednesday, September 22nd. from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at The Georgia House in Milford.
The Georgia House

The Georgia House has put together 9 different appetizers just for our event that I know you will enjoy. Stay after and have dinner in their downstairs dining room.

We choose the Milford location because it’s close enough for both Kent and Sussex County people to get to. This event is not limited to just Kent and Sussex County people, we welcome anyone from Delaware to attend.

So please sign up for this event at our Eventbrite site. Tickets are FREE. We just need to know how many people will be attending so The Georgia House knows how many people to expect.

So Please join us on September 22nd. to get out and meet and greet friends you han’t seen in a while and make NEW friends.

A long awaited event is coming to Southern Delaware. Thanks to Phil Woods aka @SmallBizPhil, creator of Where In Delaware and Downtown Milford, Inc. @DwnTwnMilford for bringing this type of training to Southern Delaware. In the past, Social Media training has widely taken place in the Wilmington area and some in the Lewes / Rehoboth areas.

There are a growing number of businesses in Southern Delaware, particularly in Lower Kent and western Sussex Counties, that want to know more about how Social Media can benefit them. By bringing this type of training to the area, it is hoped to get more and more of Delaware businesses accessible via Social Media and grow the steadily expanding Delaware Social Media presence into these areas. Hopefully this event will be the first of many more Social Media training opportunities throughout the area.

If you or a someone you know is confused about how to move forward with social media or if your social media efforts feel like a remote outpost rather than an attraction for your customers, then this event is for you.

In addition to discussing what social media is and isn’t, their will be a discussion of the top 5 strategic questions that should be answered before you start your social media campaigns. Additional topics will include how to deal with online threats and measuring social media success. A 60-minute presentation will be followed by a 30-minute Q&A session with a panel of local social media aficionados.

This event will be held on August 24th. from 6:30pm to 8:00pm at Abbott’s Grill, located at 249 NE Front Street, Milford, DE. There is limited seating available so please go to http://sussexsocialmedia.eventbrite.com/ and get your FREE tickets.

Thanks to Phil Woods and Elizabeth Purcell of Downtown Milford, Inc. for setting up this event. Special thanks to 23rd. & 5th. for sponsoring and to Abbott’s Grill, our host for the evening.
